The Word of God changes lives in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka has over 623 Good News Clubs (GNCs) and 210 Church-related clubs using these materials, reaching children all across the nation. CEF lessons and flashcards are a cornerstone of these clubs, presenting the Gospel in a clear and captivating way. The visuals breathe life into Bible stories, grabbing children’s attention and making biblical truths unforgettable. Their impact isn’t limited to children; adults, too, find themselves drawn to these engaging tools. CEF resources are woven into every aspect of our ministry. Teachers are equipped with these materials during training programs, empowering them to start new GNCs and effectively share the Gospel. Even children from different faiths are captivated by the visuals at party clubs, sparking an early understanding of biblical truths.
For children who can’t yet read, the flashcards become a window into the lessons, fostering a deep connection with the stories through captivating images. The impact extends to Bible colleges, where teachers in training praise the effectiveness of CEF materials in sharing the Gospel and teaching Bible lessons. We are truly grateful for the immense blessing that the Revival Movement is to the ministry and for providing these materials. Praise be to God’s holy name! Our Good News Club is such a blessing! The lessons are so easy to understand, and our teacher makes everything clear with the amazing flashcards she shows us. They make learning about God so much fun! Every picture tells a story, and these flashcards bring the Bible to life for us. They help us remember all the important lessons we learn in Good News Club. Greetings in the love of Jesus Christ! I want to share a wonderful story about a special event held at our church last Sunday. It was a day filled with joy and learning, open to both children and adults. Initially, the event for the younger ones was facing a challenge. The little ones, though energetic, weren’t quite settled. Thankfully, our pastor in charge had a wonderful idea! He informed us that “Child Evangelism Fellowship” (CEF) had reached out, and a representative from their organization would be joining us. When the kind sister from CEF arrived, she brought with her a treasure trove: captivating visual cards filled with Bible stories. The moment she began using them, a hush fell over the room.
Every child was captivated, their eyes wide with wonder as they followed the stories on the flashcards. The entire event was transformed. The sister from CEF, with her engaging storytelling and the fantastic CEF materials, led a day of incredible learning and fun. The children were enthralled, not just by the stories but also by the clear and engaging way they were presented. This experience truly touched my heart. It was a powerful reminder of the amazing impact that CEF resources can have on young minds. I pray that the Lord continues to bless not only the CEF organization but also the wonderful sister who brought these stories to life for our church family.

I work with CEF full time with children in many villages, one of the most useful tools in my ministry is flashcards. When I start teaching the lesson among the children, many of them have their attention elsewhere. When I teach, when I show the flashcard, their attention shifts to me because all the pictures on the flashcards are attractive to the children. The children at my Good News Club are experiencing the love of God through the visual cards. I have seen their hearts change as they realize the love of Jesus Christ by looking at the flashcards. When I work among children in new villages, using flashcards to teach bible lessons it is very easy for me to win children to God. I thank God for the flashcards and also my thanks to the CEF Family.
